WORKSHOPS

LEARNING TO MODIFY POSTURES 
This Virtual Zoom Workshop is aimed at those who have some previous experience of yoga -              
albeit maybe only limited,  but felt put off due to their perceived lack of flexibility or an
injury/ physical limitation which maybe restricting them.  We will look at how to adapt
postures safely as well as bringing a kindly attitude to our experience in order to
manage our own expectations.  
There will be very limited numbers in order to give you attention.
SAT 27th March 2021, 4pm - 6pm £20.  EARLY BIRD £15 if booked by 23rd.

Fun at Yoga
RESTORATIVE YOGA AND YOGA NIDRA
An indulgence of relaxation.  Join me for 1 1/4 hours of total physical and mental rest. 
Long held effortless floor based postures which is beneficial for tension, stress, fatigue
and menopausal symptoms.  Followed by a Yoga Nidra (also known as
yoga sleep) - a meditative type relaxation designed to systematically release deeply
held tension. No experience necessary.

RESTORE, RELAX AND RECHARGE
When we are tired, stressed or anxious there's nothing that we need more than to
stop, rest and focus on our breath. This is a predominately floor based workshop
to allow ourselves to feel fully supported by the ground beneath us. We will work
with gentle, longer held postures (using props if you have them) to allow the nervous
system to relax, the para- sympathetic nervous system to kick in and use the breath
to feel present.  We will finish with a meditation.
 
BALANCE AND HEAL - A HEART CENTERED PRACTISE
The aim of the second workshop is to bring balance - not just to the physical body
but to our emotions too. Our sensitive heart can easily become closed and blocked
due to hurts and griefs.  This is a nurturing workshop which will use heart opening
postures to open and rebalance the heart.  Pranayama (yoga breathing) to work
with the respiratory system and to quieten the mind in readiness for meditation.
 
 
STRENGTH AND RESILIANCE
The final workshop will focus on building strength and resilience .  We need physical
strength as well as mental resilience in order to navigate our daily lives, especially in
current times.  We will focus on strengthening postures for the body to remain strong.
However we will also explore how there can be softness within these postures too. 
We will also explore how through kindness based mindfulness we can become more
resilient.
